Adult Power Skating

Build a deeper understanding of how to skate properly while developing stronger edges, better balance, and more efficient movement on the ice. This program is designed to help adult players skate with greater control, confidence, and power. The primary focus is on edge work and balance, teaching you how to use your inside and outside edges effectively to stop, turn, accelerate, and transition smoothly. You’ll learn how proper body position, weight transfer, and edge control directly impact your speed and stability.

Skills covered include:

• Forward and backward skating with proper edge use

• Controlled stops, turns, pivots, and transitions

• Forward and backward crossovers with improved balance

Using our DOC System, all drills are broken down into simple progressions, giving you a clear understanding of why you skate the way you do and where adjustments are needed to improve technique, balance, and overall skating performance.

Please Note: This is NOT a learn-to-skate program, participants should be able to skate comfortably before enrolling..

Category: Adults (Any Gender, Low/Intermediate/High Recreational)

Dates: Mondays from May 25 to August 17 (except August 3) OR Thursdays from May 28 to August 13

Location: Leaside Memorial Arena

Time: 8-9pm (1 hour)

Ratio: Maximum 24 skaters - Players will be divided into groups based on skill level

Individual Cost: $549.00 + HST ($620.37) - Save $50 if you register by March 8th, 2026!

Requirements

Please note the following details before registering:

• Requirements: Please bring your own water bottle with your name on it.

• Jerseys: Please bring your own practice jersey.

• Equipment: Please bring your own full hockey equipment.

• Safety Measures: Safety protocols are in place so we can operate all our programs safely for you. Self Symptom Screening in effect, so if you don’t feel well, please stay home for all of us - thank you.

• Refund Policy: If you register for this camp, there are no refunds, unless the government shuts the arena down. If you are sick, or are unable to make the camp, there are no refunds unless we can sell your spot.
