Adult Hockey Skills & Game
Elevate your game with Hockey Extreme’s premier hockey skills program designed to keep you sharp, fit, and engaged. Our comprehensive 2-hour sessions blend creativity, challenge, and fun, ensuring you enhance both your mental and physical wellbeing while enjoying the thrill of the ice.
Individual skills covered:
forward & backward skating, cross-overs, pivots, power turns
wrist shot, snap shot, saucer passing, drop passes, one timers
stick handling, 1on1 deking, battles, face-offs
Team concepts covered:
breakouts & transitional play that lead to offensive opportunities
defensive zone coverage & responsibilities
how to set up & create scoring chances off the rush
how to play with teammates who are a different skill level

Qualifications
Please Note: There will be ZERO tolerance for misconduct of any kind - there will be no warning, and you will be asked to leave. Also, this is NOT a learn-to-skate program, so if you have never skated before or can barely skate, this program is not for you.
Ages: Adults 24-70
Skill Levels:
Wednesdays: Intermediate Plus to High Recreational
Thursdays/Fridays: Intermediate Recreational
Ratio: Maximum 24 skaters (plus 2 goalies - see Goalies section at bottom of page)

Wednesdays: Oct. 15-Jan.. 7* / Pleasantview Arena / 9-11pm *(No classes Dec. 24 or Dec. 31)
Thursdays: Oct. 16-Jan. 8* / Agincourt Arena / 9-11pm *(No classes Dec. 25 or Jan. 1)
Fridays: Oct. 17-Jan. 9* / Cummer Arena / 7-9pm *(No classes Dec. 26 or Jan. 2)
WINTER 2026
Wednesdays: Jan. 8-Mar. 26 / Pleasantview Arena / 9-11pm
Thursdays: Jan. 9-Mar. 27 / Agincourt Arena / 9-11pm
Fridays: Jan. 10-Mar. 28 / Cummer Arena / 7-9pm
Format
1st Hour
Power Skating & Puck Skills: Start with a blend of power skating drills to refine your speed & agility, followed by focused individual puck skills practice, including stick handling & shooting.
Team Concepts: The remaining time will be dedicated to mastering team offensive & defensive strategies, helping you understand & implement effective game tactics.
Flood Break
2nd Hour
In-Game Coaching: Put your skills to the test in a structured hockey game, where our experienced staff will be on the bench to provide real-time coaching and personalized feedback to further enhance your performance.
Cost & Payment
$850 incl. HST ($650 deposit then $200 cash on day 1)
Requirements
Water Bottle: Please bring your own water bottle with your name on it
Jerseys: Please bing your own practice jersey.
Equipment: Please bring your own full hockey equipment.
Safety Measures: For all programs we operate, safe protocols are in place so we can operate our programs safely for you and the other participants. Self symptom screening is in effect: If you don’t feel well, please stay home for all of us - thank you.
Refund Policy: Refunds will be administered only if the arena shuts down (e.g. by government) and we can no longer operate our programs. If you are sick or are unable to make the camp for any reason, there are no refunds unless we can sell your spot.

Goalies
Goalies pay no individual fee but, since there is no charge, if Hockey Extreme is unable to find a replacement because you are unable to make a class, we kindly ask that you arrange for a substitute goalie (e.g. via Rent Cole the Goalie 97cole11@gmail.com).
1st Hour: Lots of shots for the goalies in the first hour’s on-ice skill session.
2nd Hour: On-ice hockey game.
