Adult Power Skating
In this program you will become a more confident, stronger, and faster skater. You will learn how to properly skate using your edges to stop, skate forwards and backwards, add power turns and pivots, followed by forwards and backwards cross-overs. In addition, you will learn how the hockey stick plays a big part in your balance and skating speed.
Drills will be broken down into simpler parts so you will understand where your corrections are needed to improve balance and technique for more speed. All players from Low Recreation to Intermediate to High Recreation players are welcome to join.
Qualifications
Please Note: This is NOT a learn-to-skate program, so if you have never skated before or can barely skate then this program is not for you.
Ages: Adults 20-80
Skill Levels: Low/Intermediate/High Recreational

FALL 2025
Sundays: Oct. 19-Dec. 14 / Cummer Arena / 8-9am
Wednesdays: Oct. 15-Jan. 7* / McGregor Park Arena / 8:15-9:15pm *(No classes Dec. 24 or Dec. 31)
WINTER 2026
Sundays: Jan. 11-Mar. 22 / Cummer Arena / 8-9am
Wednesdays: Jan. 14-Mar. 25 / McGregor Park Arena / 8:15-9:15pm
Cost & Payment
Sundays: $550 incl. HST ($350 deposit then $200 cash on day 1)
Wednesdays: $450 incl. HST
Requirements
Water Bottle: Please bring your own water bottle with your name on it.
Jerseys: Please bring your own practice jersey (you can order a beautiful Hockey Extreme jersey during registration with name and numbers sewn on like the pros).
Equipment: Please bring your own full hockey equipment.
Safety Measures: Safety protocols are in place so we can operate all our programs safely for you. Self Symptom Screening in effect, so if you don’t feel well, please stay home for all of us - thank you.
Refund Policy: If you register for this camp, there are no refunds, unless the government shuts the arena down. If you are sick, or are unable to make the camp, there are no refunds unless we can sell your spot.
