Elevate your game with Hockey Extreme’s premier hockey skills program designed to keep you sharp, fit, and engaged. Our comprehensive 2-hour sessions blend creativity, challenge, and fun, ensuring you enhance both your mental and physical well-being while enjoying the thrill of the ice.
This is a pro-style 2-hour hockey program designed for low- to intermediate-plus recreational adult players who want to improve their individual skills and learn how to use those skills effectively in a game. Hockey Extreme’s Skills + Hockey IQ & Team Tactics program connects individual skill development with real game situations, helping players become more confident, make better decisions and understand where to be, what to do and why.
Individual skills covered:
Forward & backward skating
Crossovers, pivots, power turns and punch turns
Escape moves and puck protection
Wrist shots, snap shots and slap shots
One-timers and backhand shots
Shooting through traffic and deflections
Snap, sweep and saucer passes
Stretch and drop passes
Stickhandling and dekes
Face-offs
Hockey IQ & teams tactics covered:
Understanding proper offensive and defensive positioning
Breakouts and transition play
Creating options and supporting the puck
Defensive-zone coverage and responsibilities
Creating scoring chances off the rush
Reading and reacting to game situations
Making better decisions under pressure
Winning and supporting puck battles
Understanding spacing, support and passing lanes
Knowing where to be, when to move and why
Plus every session puts the teaching into action with competitive small-area games and mini games, giving players the opportunity to apply the skills and tactics they just learned in real-time game situations.

Dates: Fridays from October 16th to December 18th
Time: 7-9pm
Format: Each session proceeds as follows….
1st Hour (Individual Skills): Develop and refine your core hockey skills through focused instruction in skating, shooting, passing, and stickhandling. Using Hockey Extreme’s trademarked DOC Instruction System (Demonstrate, Observe, Correct) instruction is adapted to each skill group’s level and development needs.
2nd Hour (Hockey IQ, Team Tactics, Mini Games): The next hour will help you take those skills into game situations. Players will learn positioning, puck movement, offensive and defensive responsibilities, and how to read and react to what is happening on the ice. Sessions will include flow drills, game situations, small-area games and mini games designed to develop decision-making, positioning and hockey awareness in a competitive but safe environment.

Requirements
Water Bottle: Please bring your own water bottle with your name on it.
Jerseys: Please bing your own practice jersey.
Full Hockey Equipment: Please bring your own complete hockey equipment.
Safety Measures: For all programs we operate, protocols are in place so we can operate our programs safely for you and the other participants. Self symptom screening is in effect: If you don’t feel well, please stay home for all of us - thank you.
Refund Policy: Refunds will be administered only if the government or the arena shuts down and we can no longer operate our programs. If you are sick or are unable to make the camp for any reason, there are no refunds (unless we can sell your spot).
